Thanks to all who have recently visited me at the HyArts Shanties and the Artist Cottages at Orleans Market Square!

My time in cottages and shanties have ended temporarily, and my class schedules are currently at a lull.  I will be spending some time taking care the our home on a number of neglected projects (Tim was working in France last summer) and pursuing some new opportunities getting my pieces into retail stores that have approached me over the last several seasons.

Next HyArts Shanty times: August 20 - 26 at the new Overlook, September 3 - 9 and 17 - 23 at the Bismore Park.

Please feel free to contact me for private classes, retail opportunities, or custom work!

FYI, my products need updating on this site and I will be devoting time to that between now and my fall commitments.

t's been a while!  Summer is nearly here!

Visit me in the new Overlook Shanties, at the intersection of Ocean and South Street, above Aselton Park, at the traffic lights May 25 - 28, and June 1 - 3, from at least 11 - 6 daily.  The new shanties are really lovely! Take the walkway to the sea from Main Street and visit all 10 shanties! They end at the Hyannis Harbor.

You can also find me (and many other great artists) in the Art Cottages at Orleans Market Square June 8, 9 & 10, and June 27 - July 1.

Silver Clay Workshop - Open Project

Calling experienced metal clay artists: I still have openings at the Cape Cod Museum of Art tomorrow (Thursday, June 9th) from 12:30 to 4 PM for an open project workshop in silver metal clay. Come with ideas for your own project, and use my tools to make something precious for yourself or someone special. Bring any tools you already have, and anything you might like to incorporate into your design.

Bronze is beautiful!

Working with base metals is sightly different than with precious metas, as they must be kiln fired inside a vessel, surrounded by coconut carbon. The firing time is much slower, lower, and longer than silver clay, as well. I must bring the pieces home and kiln fore them for my students, so there is a need for more than one class session.

The clay itself does not dry as out as quickly, and doesn't stick to things as much as silver clay does. It's also a LOT less expensive, so you can make much larger pieces without breaking the bank. And the results are gorgeous.

Bronze Tile Bracelet Class

Give Bronze a try at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on Saturday, June 18th (1 - 4 pm) and Friday, June 24th (5:30 - 8:30 pm) and make a gorgeous bronze tile bracelet.
